I had a wonderful excuse to go to Manhattan this past weekend — to photograph the engagement session of Jayme and Tim. When I left Kansas City, it was 40-something degrees, cloudy and cold…by the time I reached the “Little Apple,” the sun was shining (quite brightly) and the weather was so warm it felt almost hot. I even have a sunburn on my arms to prove it. :)
Jayme and Tim wanted to take photos in a spot that was special to them — the Konza Prairie. Upon arrival Saturday morning, they discovered that a majority of the prairie had recently been burned, so we were faced with rolling hills of black soot. :) Luckily, we were able to get some shots of their favorite places on the K-State campus and then we headed to Konza…just to see if we could find a spot that might work. Well, we found one! I’m excited with how Jayme and Tim’s photos turned out, and REALLY excited that I got to spend some time getting to know this awesome couple. It’s always nice to discover things we all have in common. I can’t wait for their wedding in October. Jayme and Tim, thanks for an awesome afternoon and for being so much fun to work with! Good luck finishing up your last semester at K-State!
Here are some of my favorites (so far):
EDIT: See ALL of Jayme and Tim’s photos in this online gallery. Friends and family, you can order prints of your favorites there as well!
