There’s something about rural Kansas that presents a charming kind of elegance that you just can’t find in the city. On my way to Jenna and Kelly’s wedding, I passed through rolling wheat fields, small towns with train tracks that still provide transportation, and the green hills of summertime in Kansas.
The wedding was in Blaine, Kansas, an unincorporated town in the North-central part of the state. The church had a history that you could almost feel…with a traditional two-story brick schoolhouse next door, writing still on all of the chalkboards, desks still in rows.
Jenna and Kelly, congratulations on your marriage. I wish you all the best happiness.
I love this shot of Kelly, waiting at the front by the altar while Jenna made her way down the aisle!
It was a very windy summer day in Kansas — but Jenna and the bridesmaids were troopers! We even did two outdoor sessions!
For their church exit, everyone had noisemakers that they blew into while the couple walked to the limo. It was something I haven’t yet seen, and was certainly a favorite amongst the children (who smuggled them into the reception!).
