I have been so blessed lately to meet couples who are so completely and totally in love with each other. Meghan and Michael are one of those couples. I met them for the first time on their wedding day in Strafford, Missouri, and it didn’t take long to notice how much they were committed to one another.
They chose not to see each other before the ceremony, and these ceremony shots are some of my most favorite facial expressions I’ve ever seen in a ceremony — seriously, can’t you just feel the excitement? I’m pretty sure Meghan giggled several times throughout, much to the delight of those in attendance. Everyone loves to be a part of great love. :)
The photos after were done underneath the church’s covered porch…it was raining pretty steadily that day, but the images are just so precious anyway!
Michael and Meghan wrote their own vows and they were so heartfelt, moving, personal and touching. I was crying. :) We had to get a shot of the vow sheets — hers handwritten, his typed.
The reception was definitely a crowd-pleasing favorite (especially for all of the kids!). The ice cream sundae bar was so much fun, as everyone created their own masterpieces. It was so fun to see how different everyone’s were!
And of course, we were in Missouri…so the St. Louis Cardinals baseball groom’s cake was very fitting!
More awesome, tender, heartfelt moments between Michael and Meghan.
The father-daughter dance shots were just as adorable — you can really tell that Meghan has some awesome influences in her life, and family members who just love her so much. This is a really cute shot of Meghan and her dad:
The adorable flower girl, Meghan’s neice Lauren, twirled in circles for most of the reception. Too cute!
