Last night I attended the Free to Succeed tour with famed photographers David Jay and Jasmine Star. Amazing! It was probably one of the best things I’ve done for my business in the last year. I feel so encouraged, motivated and excited to keep capturing memories and making the ericamay photography experience unique, stress-free and fun! :)
I was so excited to see that the tour was making a stop in Kansas City…as soon as I found out, thanks to Melissa Jill‘s blog, I signed up. I am so thankful I did! Not only did I soak in four hours of wisdom, tips and enthusiasm for wedding photography…I also got to meet fellow Kansas City photographer Rebecca Peters, whose work I’ve admired for quite some time. I don’t know if you’re supposed to be “star struck” by your own peers, but I felt a little bit like I was talking to a celebrity. :) It’s amazing how blogging can connect you to people you would never meet otherwise — and when you do meet them, you feel like you already know too much about them (yes, I am a phantom blog stalker…).
Anyway, it was a really great night of photography-related fun. I didn’t take any photos…I was too busy taking notes! I had a headache and a hand cramp by the time I left, but it was definitely worth it. :)
This also helps me cross off #29 on my 101 in 1001 list! :)
